My last maternity pay is October 2009. I don't have a job to go back to as i was on a temporary contract. I will be looking for work, but after my maternity runs out, would i be entitled to any benefits whilst i was looking for work. My partner works and we currently recieve Working Tax Credits and Child Tax Credits.

Thanks

Should be. Once you receive your last maternity pay, inform tax credits as your entitlements should go up.

That is presuming they have taken your maternity pay into consideration when you got your award.

Yes, i did ytake it into consideration. I definately want to go back to work, but i'm just panicking about how we'd cope in the meantime. Thanks
Phone the tax credits helpline and tell them about the change of circumstances. They can put the changes on the computer straight away from the date they change. They don't want to see you going without. Same thing when you get a job.
