books to explain perods

me and my 12 year old daughter have a good relasionship
as she is 12 it will only be a matter of a year or two until her periods start
i have explained about tampax sanitry towels body changes ect.. I was just wondering if anyone can recomend any books that cover this subject she can read at her leisure sutible for her age as well??

One good book for that age range is It's Perfectly Normal by Harris and Emberley (about various related topics, not just periods). You can go to Amazon.com and put in the title, then click on "Click to Look Inside."

It's written very plainly and easy to understand. It explains all about puberty etc. It also has a couple of pages about what boys go through as well. My daughter has found it very beneficial in being able to read it and ask me questions at the same time.
