Over the last few days I have been drinking two or three cups of peppermint tea a day to ease stomach cramps and trapped wind, my tummy is much better but last night I developed a feeling of a blockage like sensation in my chest, nausea in my throat and the constant feeling that I need to burp. Friends have suggested that too much peppermint tea can cause heartburn although can't really say this is a burning. I've since been drinking boiled water and started gavsicon with limited effect, didnt eat at all last night because was frightened of making it worse, have ate lightly today and made no difference. Its driving me nuts now, can anyone suggest something please to ease the problem. Thank you.

Lanzopral (Lansoprazole)
Description: Lanzopral (Lansoprazole) is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to treat ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux (GERD), erosive esophagitis, or Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Lansoprazole may also be used to treat ulcers due to long-term use of certain pain/anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Lanzopral (Lansoprazole) works by blocking acid production in the stomach. It may be used in combination with antibiotics (e.g., amoxicillin, clarithromycin) to treat certain types of ulcers. Consult your doctor for further Lanzopral (Lansoprazole) applications.

I suffer from IBS really badly. Trapped wind and general belly ache can have some very strange effects. I get headaches, pains in my shoulders and have actually been sick. I find peppermint oil in hot water helps and charcoal tablets (cheap and available from chemists). A couple of these and a large explosion isn\'t usually far behind.
