Anyone experience mediation after divorce - re property split?
2 Answers
Has anyone been to mediation after a divorce to discuss property split - how was the outcome.
My partner is divorced for 3 yrs and has 2 children living with their mother at their jointly owned home. My partner is wanting his settlement out of the house (the mortgage has been paid off for over 10 yrs) and she is living beyond her means - ie : 3 people living in a 5 bedroom home.
Nothing was put in the divorce papers as her applied direct himself ... he is considering mediation but doesnt want to pay out £500 initial consultation followed by £75 per hour thereafter.
Anyone been through similar experience?

Occupation of a property and you are on a winner no doubt about it.
My ex partner wouldnt move out of the property and I went to court a number of times the court wouldnt make him move out of the property and my ex made it that difficult for me to live there I moved out along with my daughter.
It took me a further 7 years of going to court and cost me £12000.00 before he decided to settle.
Good Luck

Hmmm I think he could be in the same situation then as she says he cant make her do anything til the youngest child turns 18 (which we have come to realise is no longer the law) but she will do anything she can to stop him getting anything ... in an ideal world her Mother would pay him off as his ex is going to get this money sooner rather than later .... (I do have a heart but she is an elderly lady)!!
Why did he eventually decide to settle, do you know??
