Daughter's 40th birthday

Any suggestions please for a present for the daughter's 40th birthday which is next month.

She is single, has a good job, and owns her own house.

I'll be giving her some cash as I know she's after a new car, but I want to buy her something to keep as a memento, she still wears the ring her father and I bought for her 18th birthday.

As she's already getting some cash I don't really want to spend more than £200.00..............

What about some earrings? I don't wear much jewellry myself but I have an idea of a pair of studs I'd like that I could wear all the time. Just something simple, either a diamonr or a ruby but very elegant and that I could wear all the time.... Perhaps something like that for your daughter? I know two pairs I've seen were both well under £200 but I bet you could get something lovely for that money.

Ok, not jewelly... How about a decoration, like a little statue or something. I got my boyfriend an old fashioned compass for christmas as he travels a lot and as soon as I saw it I thought of him... That was in fortnum and masons (sp) so maybe a shop like that up your way? They had lots of funny and unusual little things.
