Can you not breast-feed him at the party? Most people would understand - it's a shame to offer something else while he's so little. I am sure they would find you a quiet place?
just a thought but maybe it would be better to forget the party and stay at home with your two week old baby.

is it because you want to drink, rather than not breastfeed in public?

by the way, if you give formula it (apparently) tastes different to breastmilk so baby may get confused or even refuse feeds.

Expressing may be better.
Formula will be fine but expect your boobs to feel like they might explode...

I use to give my youngest a small bottle of formula a day from about 1 month old. Just because my oldest son wouldn't take a bottle so that meant I couldn't go anywhere without him. For 15 long months....!!!
Red...yes that's a risk.
Yes, its fine. Ideally you could pump or express enough for 2 hours/drink you have, if not give the formula for that long. Like others said he may get confused. He may also do perfectly well. While you are a new mom, you have have balance in life. Sitting at home with baby all the time will have a worse impact on you and therefore the baby than going out on occasion.
