Please help!!

Hi i am new here ,i have a problem with my 36 year old daughter and it is really getting me down, she has a disease that makes her constantly lie! i love all my children i am divorced but have always done my best by my children , i just don't know what to do anymore she has just phoned me accusing me of stealing from her bank and says she is going to the police , she said when she was little i did not care for her the way i was supposed to , i was a working single mom ,i mainly worked while my children were at school if i needed to do extra hours to cover bills my mother would look after them , their dad left when my daughter was 2 his mum always said shes a bad un ,never knew what she meant by it now it all comes together, i think she always blamed me for not being with her father anymore , though thought she would realise in time that he just doesn't want to know his daughter he still speaks to my 2 sons on the phone and meets up with them occasionally , but his daughter no just no way he will even acknowledge her in the slightest

well.. let her try to police... assuming you are innocent.. its going to be bloody hard to prove you did anything
she sound like she's got issues.. but without seeking help from a counsellor or therapist - theres not much you can do

how did you allegedly steal this money? via a cashpoint? cheque? or transfer???

how much is she accusing you of stealing?

thank you nosha , she say's i have been taking it out her bank for year to pay for things:(

eh well suzey ,not too sure i think she sits on her bum all day , the bank account in question is money she gets for being her grans carer but she doesn't even do that i leave my work at night and have to do my mothers house work then go home to mine , while she sits in her benefit paid flat and does nothing , i do not mind doing my mums stuff as she cared for us when we were little but for my daughter to get paid for it it just angers me , i do not want to be a grass but i am seriously thinking about it

Realistically what evvidence could she have to tell the police - do have access to her account?

Oh dear prudie and suzie - you have to know the history about the teamaking, and poxy is new....!

Poxy this sounds awful, but surely there is no proof of all this so the police might well recognise it as such, tho it has been known for them to charge people with wasting police time. Can't you try to treat it for what it is? Your daughter is a grown woman and can't go round getting at people like this. If she doesn't even live with you, this all seems very unlikely. How come she's only just noticed her money's gone, if she's alleging that the moneys been taken over the past year? None of it adds up - sound like she needs help, has she got a social worker?

I too have come across a couple of people in life who lie constantly and recognise it now looking back as some kind of mental disorder.
