I am about to purchase one for my 6yr old who has recently begun to ride a bike with no stabilisers. They look easy to use but are they? What happens to it when the child wants to ride their bike themselves? Does it just retract back and how easy are they to fit?

Its a bar that clamps onto your seat post and onto child handlebar stem. Easy to install and you simply unclip it if your child wants to ride their bike on their own.
