Middle Names
20 Answers
Good Morning lovely people....
My mum didnt give me a middle name and the youngest child such as myself was always given the first name of the maternal grandmother... anyway, now my beloved grandmother has passed at the ripe age of 91, god love her! I would like to have my grandmothers name as a middle name as it should have been given to me anyway.
Do I have to go through Deed Poll just to add a middle name?

I have two middle names, one given at birth and the other I just chose on a whim. You don't have to give all your names on bank accounts etc so if you just want to "know" you have your Gran's name then you don't have to change anything. It can't be added to your birth certificate.
I agree with woofgang, you can call yourself anything you like on a day to day basis just as long as your correct names are given for official purposes. It works the other way too, I have 2 middle names & I always hated one of them so never ever mentioned it unless I had to...now I love it & make a point of using it.
Now I'm going to try & find out what your chosen name is woofy :o)
