If someone is claiming benefits and then starts to get CSA payments from her ex partner for her child .. will the benefits she receives be reduced
prev Can a british citizen living in the us marry a a non us national on visitor visa to the us, and would the visitor qualify to work and stay in the UK nad the US?

probably - means tested benefits anyway. It means that the dad is paying for the child instead of the state so it's bound to be a good thing.

I believe it is reduced. Not so sure it's a good thing. The mother can't rely on CSA payments from the father but she could have relied on the benefits she received.

No. Child maintenance payments are no longer treated as income for means tested benefits. This was a change introduces in April this year just before the election and was an attempt to do something to help with child poverty. It might not last long.

Also if it's tax credits maintenance has never been counted.

It used to be taken out of your Income Support you were allowed i think £10 per week from csa.. anymore then that would then be taken out of your IS.

But it has now stopped so you dont lose out .
