A Daily Express report says that the 1980 wording for calling the banns was not incorporated into the 1949 Marriage Act.

This means that millions of church marriages after 1980 are not strictly legal !!!

I'm writing to Debbie Harry to see if she's currently free. My wife's not sure yet, now William is engaged.

You need to act quickly - they will probably put through an amendment to the Act.

venator........I can´t understand your excitement, as iif it wasn´t legal, you would just go put and get yourself a legal one...............and in a nutshell, a legal one is just as bad as a non-legal one............they are all the same.

I did ask my wife to marry me, just got a funny look - wonder what that meant? Any clairvoyants around?

Actually, it's our 25th next time - perhaps we should get married again?

I was married in 1978 and the banns were read in Ormskirk Parish Curch and Parbold Parish Church, no barsteward raised any objection and they had 3 bloody weeks!

venator.....that is an interesting point that you have made..........mrs sqad often asks me if we should renew our vows and I reply that let us get married again, but divorce first, so as to make the marriage ceremony authentic..............she then backs off!!!

annie there are times when its a sin to live with the one you are married to. After 50 years I could kill the barsteward sometimes.
