Disney is one of the most famous and iconic brands in history. For more than 80 years the Disney Company has brought happiness to people everywhere with their animated films and cartoons, full feature films and merchandising. They have brought to the world such memorable characters as the Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Tinkerbell, and WALL-E.

Founded in 1923 by brothers Walt Disney and Roy Disney as the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, the company was reincorporated as Walt Disney Productions in 1929. The company is best known for the products of its film studio, the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group. The first original character was Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Mickey Mouse first appeared in three animated cartoons in 1928 and they soon became a nationwide hit, he is now the official mascot of The Walt Disney Company.

Deciding to push the boundaries of animation even further, Disney began production of his first feature-length animated film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs which premiered in December 1937 and became the highest-grossing film of that time by 1939.

The Disney brand is also used in Parks and resorts across the world where visitors can meet their favourite characters and go on rides themed for films and cartoons.
