Film in the 1970s?

Can you tell me what the name of the film is called, where the song Feelings comes from by Morris Albert? I believe the film was in the 1970s.

I think the film was about a young boy training to be a swimmer and he got ill. A sad film???

Morris Albert wrote (plagiarised) his song "Feelings" in 1973/4 and it hit the music charts in 1975, so if it became popular from a film soundtrack I would suspect that the film was released that same year.
(The only "swimming" film I recall from then is "Jaws"... and I'm sure that's not it.)

It has been used in numerous films such as "An Officer and a Gentleman", "Blame It on the Bellboy", "The Sure Thing", "Buffy The Vampire Slayer"... the list goes on and on, but I cannot find reference to its use in a 70s film about a swimmer.

Thanks for the replies. But I doing my own head in trying to find out about this film. I went to see it at the pictures, it wasnt a blockbuster film, but i know that the song feelings was playing at the beginning or at the end with the credits?

Please can someone try and find out for me this film? def about a boy swimming (training to be in the olympics?)and i think he gets a brain tumour

think it was an Italian film called "Last Feelings" it was dubbed into English and was a real tearjerker.

Hi, I have been having trouble with this too. I have asked everyone I know and so far nothing.... I did here a film title called Bobbys Song or somthing like that but it was ages ago and I couldnt find it then either, let me know if you have any luck and I'll keep looking too.

I have been searching and have found Last Feelings movie 1978 available to buy from Amazon this has been bugging me for years and when I heard the songs Feelings on the radio tonight it suddenly came to me and yes it is about the swimmer
