I like wine, but don't really have a big enough wallet to enjoy good wines on a daily basis. In your opinion, what is the best wine (dry white or red I love em both) that can be purchased throughout England (i.e. offies and supermarkets) for less than a tenner?

Thanks.

Chablis is a nice dry white that wont break the bank. Supermarkets are always doing 'aisle end' deals on wine, so keep an eye out.
Morrisons do a superb Aussie Shiraz (Buckingham Estate) for £8.49.

The Co-op do Azure Estate NZ Sauv Blank for £6.49.

Two of my favourite wines.
Try Chilean and Argentinean white wines..............fab!
Try Aldi and Lidl for some real bargains.
Aldi do some VERY inexpensive wines but also some costing more which are very good for the price (and award winners). For red - Ramon Lopez Rioja Reserva £5.99. For white - Freemans Bay New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc £5.49. Absolute bargains!
I'm not a wine buff at all. I love Blossom Hill bog standard California Red. It's really fruity.
Asda do 3 for a tenner, and a bargain just now is Hardy's Voyage Shiraz..very nice :o)
Pinot Grigio is a nice wine. look out for it at asda 3 for £10.
For reds, I can usually pick up a Fitou, Malbec or a Nero D'Avola from Tesco for around the £7 mark and they are reliably drinkable.
