Argentine San Juan Malbec from Co-op at £4.80. Wonderful soft, full, fruity flavours. Very good value for the money.

This afternoon I got a bottle of Wolf Blass yellow label Shiraz 2007 at the local corner shop. It was better and cheaper than anything I`ve got at Sainsburys. It was £7.99 but for that price I would have got a really young Shiraz at Sains. It was good value.

I'd be amazed if any Argentinian wine mentioned any particular vineyard. Their production methods are far different from those of France!
I'm also confused as to how you can describe the Tempranillo grape as producing 'light' wines. Even the best Riojas (which are invariably based around Tempranillo grapes) sometimes need a small quantity of 'softer' grapes to reduce the 'clout' which is inherent in Tempranillo grapes (unless, of course, they've been late-harvested).
As I type I'm approaching the end of a bottle of Asda's superb (for the price) Tempranillo, at £3.78 per bottle:

It's a lovely wine. The connoisseur might detect a slightly 'rough edge' to it (since it's not undergone the oak-barrel conditioning associated with a good Rioja) but I can assure you that it's certainly not 'light'!
