It was touted as "The world's first clear Cola" here in the UK as I remember. Well it was clear and it (sort of) tasted like Cola, so I guess it did it's job. Am I imagining it?
Yes Skebo, unfortunately I am old enough to remember Tab. It was rather a short lived product wasn't it? Was it made by Coca Cola and was it caffeine free? I seem to recall that it was.

Made by coca-cola in the early 90s - I seem to remember it tasted quite like regular coke so wasn't sure why you'd buy it over the original. Also it was sold in cans so you couldnt even tell if it was clear or not.
It was before you could easily get diet drinks, I think. It was mentioned in the film Back to the Future, Marty asks the waiter for a Tab, the waiter says you can't have a tab before you order anything, Marty says just bring me something without any sugar, so the waiter brings him a coffee!
