Dos anyone know where I can get this mail order please, my usual supplier doesn't seem to have any?
Just to be clear, I am not interested in alternates unless they are also a version of Canadian Club, or (and I mean this nicely) opinions on my taste in alcohol.

Many thanks

that's nice Shaney, so many people panic if approached by a big dog. Its actually been too hot here to do much in the garden. The dogs have been kipping and I have been pottering around tidying up.
what a jolly day out. Lunch in a country pub serving rustic yokel fare like baked camembert with grapes. Then a stroll round our hostess's lovely home and garden - they've got a proper thatched cottage from the 1600s. The only question at the moment is whether they can afford to keep it. Plus her arthritis means she has to hire a gardener to do a lot of the digging, so more expense. But it's very pretty.
Sounds idyllic Jno .I can understand that .We have to have a gardener these days .No way can I can hoe ,mow, chop and lop, like I used to .
this is the house and a very small bit of the garden

That is pretty although I am not big on thatch myself. Just after sunset tonight, the dogs came rushing in going "come outside and see something exciting!!" I went out and there was a bat in the garden doing aerobatics (see what I did there?) Its not uncommon to see them over the garden but this one was passing about a foot above my head or even lower, Normally I can only tell they are bats by the way they fly but this one was so close you could actually see the bat shape of it. of course the dogs were chasing around having a high old time. Its been a really hot day here, too hot to garden so we pottered indoors instead, well I pottered, the dogs snored.
no way I would have thatch, tiles do a perfectly good job of keeping the water out. Also, it would look odd on an Edwardian semi.
Lovely place Jno but thatch is a very expensive roofing material to maintain these days .The garden looks lovely .
I don't know about the rest of you but I'm fed up, fed up with all these windbags gassing on about the election .I see that not only can you now not believe in a God but you must at all costs vote Conservative and Labour voters are feckless good for nothings. A plague on both their houses and I hope the Loony Party wins ....that'll shut 'em up :))
Night all ...sleep toight .

shaney I avoid avoid avoid all the political gas and hoorah.
Woofy ..I have to hold myself back from rattling their cages ...haha.
I'll be glad when it's all over .Hopefully we won't have to go through the same palaver in six months time all over again .Interesting times and a crucial election but cba to argue about it all on here.I will however argue with any candidates who have the misfortune to doorstep me .....if I can get there first before Mr.S...lol.
Morning all ☼...bright 'n shiny out there but still only a r-f of 6C at the moment.

Yes jno, very idyllic, but only on chocolate boxes (why don't they do those anymore? I'll add it to my 'festo, that'll definitely swing it my way...vote The Giddy Biddy party). The insurance on thatched cottages must be astronomical.

Shaney they don't only doorstep you, they call you. I got one last week and fortunately for him it was the right gang, haha. I take no notice now, on here or on the tele/radio etc. It's more a case for me of who I don't want want rather than who I really do, there's not much to choose between them any more.

I get bats in my garden, I must start looking out at dusk. They dance round and round the cherry tree.
I know, shaney, the noise of the hustings is deafening. I may go out in case any candidates come calling. Not that any have yet. I haven't made up my mind who to vote for - I've voted to re-elect the sitting member for some years as she was very good but she's retired now and all the canidadates just deliver leaflets backing their manifesto without saying what they'll do locally. I always vote but I may have to draw a name out of a hat this time.

Another lovely day. We saw tiny lambs out yesterday, gambolling in the mint patch.
ah, this one's from H&M for all those political ABers...

Lol Jno ..
Morning all
Another lovely day but thunderstorms threatened for later .The weather gnomes never let us have too much of a good thing . I think our local Conservative candidate for our ward reads AB ..he shoved a leaflet through this morning and scuttled off pdq.Same old gumf...street cleaning and dog poo issues.....haha.
Hope you're all ok .
lol jno...I had to think about that for a minute.

It used to be dog poo and wheelie bin issues here. I don't read the gumf now.
Well I've been busy doing I don't know what this morning. Still only mid teens temperature, there's a breeze keeping it cool. I might go and stare at things in the garden.
I knew you were all too clever for me.. I just don't get it Jno sorry!
Lol Jude..... W anchor
Not you! Haha :)

I did a big post and it has vanished. Jude your mind is obviously not in the gutter like SOME peoples!
Its been too hot today to spend long in the garden so I did loads of boring in house stuff. I put away winter bedding, finished sorting out my paperwork and put a load for shredding, tidied the guest room and made it look like a bedroom again, did loads of laundry, put a packet of chicken breasts into tandoori marinade, sorted out my houseplants and generally fiddled and farted. forecast for cooler weather tomorrow so back to the garden.
Good morning buddies. You all sound chipped. Damp and overcast here. So busy out and about with sis. Drinking far more wine than is good for me. Having such a laugh.
We gets bats swooping around at twilight, I always cover my head.
Electioneering isn't allowed here until 6 weeks before the election .
Just found out that my nephew is standing as a Labour candidate for some place in Glouscester. He's far too nice! Saying no more.

Have a nice day biddies. We are off for another day's gallivanting.
Morning all
Brightening up after a dull start. What a drop in the temps from yesterday though. It hit 21C here and now it's only 9.Don't think I'll be showing my ankles today .
I may trudge into town but have to get into gear first .I'm idling in neutral atm.Hope you're all ok .
