I don't drink beer so have no idea how much the average price is but this pub must have really good beer or they are taking the pizz.

I can't see the point in buying ordinary bottled water, but I am partial to the fizzy variety. My local Co-op sells Celtic Spring fizzy water, for 19p per 2 litre, and with a dash of lime or lemon juice, its wonderful, and very, very good value for money.

I live close(ish) to where Highland Spring is bottled.
But, like you, I would only buy bottled water as a last resort. I don't like fizzy water. I just fill bottles from the tap.
I bought a nice water filter/water fountain for the moggies. Merlin took to sitting in it (she isn't too bright) and Frankie just kept drinking from a leaking tap. We are back to basics - bowl of water on floor.
