Best for Diabetics to drink

I know we should keep our alcohol to a min but if we are to go out what are the best options to drink? I don't like diet coke in drinks.

If you scroll down this page it gives you some pointers, though it looks as though you just choose your favourite drink (within reason - ie no sugary mixers)
