My friend is Croatian and she drinks it.
It's called 'kalimoxto' and meant to be served, as a summer drink, with ice and lemon.

Personally, I'd rather leave out the coke, ice and lemon and just drink the red wine.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, Buenchico!
If you put them both in the same glass and drink it ... then it's a drink! If you manage to come up with a combination that isn't already a known drink, you could always name it after yourself!
Just came across an answer to this old question in one of next month's wine magazines.

Pierre Lincoln is sommelier at a restaurant in Co. Dublin. He is asked about the oddest request he's had from a customer. He says:

"... a customer asked me to mix Coke with Malbec (a red wine) for his wife, as that was the only way she would drink wine."

So there you go ericjewitt30 ... it's unusual, but there is a precedent for it.
