Liqueur Coffee
Hello, Can anyone tell me how to make a proper liqueur coffee at home? We have a filter coffee maker - will this work? Also how do you get the cream to sit on top of the coffee rather than mix in? Cheers,

Add the spirit (whiskey, whisky, brandy,or rum) and a spoonful of sugar and stir. Hold an upside-down spoon close to the surface of the liquid, and carefully pour the cream onto the spoon, so that it floats onto the surface of the coffee. And that's it!
If you don't use the sugar, the cream will sink into the liquid.
You can use whipped cream to help stop this happening, but it's not the same.

I just use instant for myself or if I have guests in I use the cafetiere to make the coffee.
Add a shot of liquer to the glass, add some sugar to taste, pour in the coffee and stir well. If the cream is whipped it should just sit on top of the coffee if you spoon it on, softening to form a separate layer as it warms. If it is pouring cream, hold a teaspoon upside down on top of the glass so that the tip of the spoon touches the coffee, and pour the cream over it very gently and slowly
