Remember drinking Babycham in the beautiful glass with a cherry on top! Thought it was great and really grown up! Progressed to many drinks after that! What was your first alcoholic drink!

Special Brew. I was a classy teenager.
Yes indeed, and we bought some Babycham last Christmas in Tesco for a party, together with some ready=mixed Snowballs.....!
Yep,and pony,cherry b...
All I can remember is that brandy and Babycham was known locally as a "knickerdropper". Bloody expensive it was too, and you didn't always get your moneysworth.
Barley Wine, still makes me gag 50 yrs later!!!
Classy Mike...

I used to love the little bottle, my first drink was woodpecker cider though..
I was born and brought up in a pub, so was lucky to have the choice of anything I wanted, but - I,m a complete teetotaller
Brandy and Babycham.... the thought turns my stomach turn these days.

That was my first grown-up drink (I had a sheltered life) my Oh took me to a pub I was 16 and didn't know what to drink. Poor lad he nearly fell over it cost about 1/6 I tried drinking halves of beer after that.

Incidentally, Magners reported a return to growth yesterday, after three years of sales being in the doldrums. They attributed the turnaround to an increase in the sales of their pear cider which, coincidentally, is exactly what Babycham is ;-)

When I was a kid my father would head off to the pub every night, asking my mother what she'd like brought back. She usually chose either a Babycham or a Cherry B. It's only in recent years that I've come to realise that what she'd really have liked my father to bring back was some of the housekeeping money which he was always spending on beer!

Champagne of the sixties! You felt really special ordering a glass!
Babycham was my first drink I still remember it like yesterday. A Christams at my boyfriends house. I felt really lighted headed after just the one. God, how things change !
So Babycham was a pomagne!

I'd love a Babycham!
My first drink was 1/2 bottle of Harveys bristol cream sherry. Was 11,result -fell asleep under the dining table , awakened by my mum , and then getting a smacked backside and sent to bed. What fun . Have never touched sherry since.!!!!
Port and Lemon which was my mums occasional tipple. First time I had a proper drink in a pub I had half of lager and lime, and to this day I can't abide lime. First time getting drunk was when I worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland in New Bond Street, Christmas Party, vodka and lime (I don't learn). They found me up in the banking hall, waving to passers by through the locked doors! Now its just the occasional pint of cheap and nasty, fizzy, mass produced, full of chemicals lager.
I think it was actually Babycham!...........liked the glass!............think I was feeliing quite ill afterwards though!.........not my favourite drink in the long term!............
