I'm doing Italian tonight woofy, i've got six guests coming, two are vegetarian, so I've made a big meat lasagne, and a wild mushroom and quorn cannelloni for the vegetarians, some nice fresh salad and garlic bread. I'm going to do a couple of traysful of nibbles, crostini with things like mozzarella and tomato, marinated artichoke hearts, little mushroomy things, red pesto and different salamis and some nice smoked ham, olives, and a dip made with sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil and garlic.
and a tiramisu or fruit salad for pud. I'll put a few bottles of Prosecco on ice.....

I'm not doing anything interesting as there won't be anybody with me. My parents and brother are going to Cyprus for 3 weeks on 24th. We'll probably do something on GF though.

Oh poor tiggies!! I'll be in Devon at the farm, most likely doing the cooking
Easter Sunday I will be going to mass.
Mercia, it's a wonder you're not the size of a house! (I AM, and I don't eat enough to fill a sparrow). :o)
I'll mostly be having a headache I should think. We're having a bit of a family get together. There will be about 25 people round for dinner. Dad cooks and the logistics are left to me. Fitting that many people into my house is a mission. I'm praying for good weather so I can filter the over flow into the garden. Suppose I could just give them brollies if it's raining.
Nothing special-it's a day like any other.
Probably having a nice pub lunch somewhere in Cornwall.

Your Italian dinner tonight sounds right up my street.

Mrs Chappie, I'm a size 10-12, on the bottom half depending where I shop - Marks I can get away with a ten usually in trousers, tops i'm a 14 coz I've of got very big boobs! . I eat only in the evening, but drink real coffee all day (black, no sugar) I do a lot of 'tasting' checking for seasonings, i think that keeps hunger pangs at bay - and I eat what I want. I'm not a big lover of puddings, but I love fruit, don't drink much ( I have one maybe two glasses of wine a week) don't like chocolate since my accident, and I eat cheese, cream, butter and red meat, yet have a cholesterol level of 2.3 (checked last week)
Don't really do Easter and as I have my leg in plaster can't cook at the moment anyway. Hubby is useless at cooking. He even managed to cock up a spag bol the other day.
probably a nice family meal, Bills son will be coming up for a few days
I think we are planning on getting one of the joints of Dexter beef that we got fresh from the farm we live on out of the freezer. We havent been able to cook any yet as they are huge and there is only 2 of us, but we have my fiances kids this weekend so will be 4 mouths to feed instead!
I did think about getting a turkey crown.

Not sure yet, will just be me, would have been my Bill's birthday, so will be in thoughtful mode.
Grandmother in charge so there'll be the usual Sunday dinner:

Roast chicken
Roast Beef
Yorkshire pudding
Sausages (chipolatas and cumberland)
Roast potatoes, parsnips & stuffing
Mashed potatoes
New potatoes
Boiled carrot, leek, green beans, sweetcorn, cauliflower, broccoli
and of course, the richest gravy in the land..

PLUS:

Roast leg of lamb
A ham (mainly for the evening cold)
Trifle
Cheese & biscuits

So. not that different from normal, just....more!
There's only the two of us for Easter but I'm planning on spoiling Mr Cake with some of his favourites. So far on the weekend menu are fish - probably tuna with sauce vierge on Friday; Saturday is an unknown quantity, possibly Chicken with pesto and grilled vegetables drizzled with balsamic vinegar; Sunday rack of lamb with North African spices, aubergine cooked to compliment and tabbouleh or cous cous; Monday, who knows???
I haven't a clue yet
