Sounds Gross!!!! but must admit I have tried it and I don't think I will be rushing to try it either!
Have tinned tuna pasta instead

Might be if you did something with the tuna first. There's a lot of rubbish sold as Tuna Chunks and some brands of Tuna Steaks. A bit of mayonaise or some other sauce beaten into th tuna with seasoning before adding it to the omelette might help. Or 1000 Island dressing. Think I would use the tuna as a garnish rather than folded in.
Don't use tuna in oil, use tuna in brine or mineral water, make sure you drain it and then

Season it well.

You could add to you egg mix firat with a little spring onion and corriander and a splash of fish sauce.

cook it flat and turn over, it will be like a asia fish omelet yum.
