Tonight we are having a few people round so I'm doing Chicken tikka, and some onion bhajis to start, served with a lemony mint and yoghurt sauce, and salad garnish, then a lamb bhuna, a beef Madras, and a chicken and prawn dopiaza, dhal, bombay potatoes, pilau rice, naan breads, chutney/pickles and poppadums. Lassi/sherbet or Indian lager to drink. Tropical fruit salad and mango kulfi for pud.

I don't think she is fibbing Mrs C....but she could be more....humble-if that's the right word.
Most on here are not 'lucky' enough to have a huge compensation payout to live off of....or relatives who supply them with the best food.
I'm with mrs c. So what if mercia lives in a dream world. I bloody well wish I could! All this winding up of people and ganging up on them is pathetic and is like being back in the playground at school. The site is quiet enough as it is.
I can't see anything wrong in posting about the best food, tbh Pasta. Doesn't bother me at all.

There will always be peeps with much more than we have, and peeps with much less than we have. No offence but I truly can't see why it gets to some folk.
Lamb Rogan Josh first choice, King Prawn Dopiaza second.
pasta!..............why does mercia do this?........not good! not making any friends for her here!........not good!............
Sometimes I wonder if I'm reading the same threads as everyone else. Really don't understand where you're coming from, Welsh. :o(
that's all well and good Mrs C!.........but mercia is bragging about what she has to the folk that have nothing, thankfully, I do not fall into the ave not category!, but it's insulting to the Abers that do, don't you think?..................
No I don't welsh. We all live in different parts of the country, all are different ages, some working, some not. If we were all the same wouldn't this site be boring?
jan, very true, but mercia does not need to brag about her conpensation, does she?......there is no need!.........just annoys folk!..........I find it very distasteful!
Welsh, no...I don't think it's insulting and I also don't think Mercia's bragging.

I read "Hello" - peeps with lots of cash, living in mansions, driving fast cars and dining at The Ivy. I live in a two-bed semi but that doesn't mean I resent others having a different lifestyle to me.

I've never been able to understand the negativity from other ABers about Mercia's foodie posts. I like them. And it doesn't matter to me whether they're true or made up, but I happen to believe they're true.

(I'm fibbing about reading "Hello".....but you know what I mean, eh?) :o)
I haven't seen Mercia brag about her compensation.
Merciasounds is a man aka painterman. Lives in a single occupancy flat on benefits and has a massive urge to overcompensate with fantasies that relate proportionally to his shortfalls. let the troubled soul have their rant, but everyone take it with a pinch of salt.
i once went on an indian cookery course.
it was very good.
I still use all the tips they gave me. It definitely made a difference to my curries.
There's always this for that authentic 'take-away flavour!

Well if that's the case, isn't she more to be pitied than scorned?
Yes he is Mrs c.
Exactly mrs c (and get back to the porn post by the way).

Who cares, really?
<Mrs.C now has a mental image of Mercia dressed during the day as a laydee in pretty dress, baking cookies in the kitchen.....then dressed at night as a fella in painter's overalls, painting the hall.>

Anyone else thinking Coronation Street's tranny? :o)

(Sorry Mercia.....you know I don't mean it, don't you lass?) Only funning, as Doc would say. x

Now....where's that porn thread? :o)
Always the next one
I'll meet you there mrs c.

Please welsh, enough of the bloody dots and what is that point? They make my eyes go funny. How old are you? Too much punctuation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't do right for doing wrong for some aber's can I? I get asked a question - it might have been rhetorical and not needing an answer - 'I wonder what Mercia would do if she DID have to buy all her meat, poultry and fish'
And I answered I have compensation money from my accident. I could also have said my husband has a very good job being a director of Sony music Europe, or that before my accident I had a multi-million pound catering business that employed 24 people. Take your pick.
And for the others, Painterman32 is my father. I'm sorry that you can't distinguish posts of a man that's nearly 80 and retired, and me.
