potted shrimp (come dine with me)

scary woman on come dine (did you see that doll) anyway she made what she called potted shrimp but to me it looked like a rubbish prawn cocktail with butter melted on top.

i always understood potted shrimps to be the british brown shrimps cooked in butter and spices, put in a pot then sealed with the leftover butter???

I had potted shrimp for the first recently and it was disgusting. So I heated it up and it was alright'ish...
