I need a good tin-opener.

At the moment I have three - a large classy looking one which I bought from Kleenezee and which will not open anything. I know you can return them, but I have already done this and this is the replacement which is just as bad. Then I have a small cheapy one from IKEA which is equally as useless and an extremely old-fashioned one which You first of all make a hole with the pointed end and then lever all the way round until the tin is opened (very dangerous to the hands). None of them work very well. Has anyone got an electric one, if so what are they like. I am desperate.

The price is no more than the Kleenezee one so I don't mind the cost. It might of course have gone up, but that doesn't matter. As I said, I am desperate. Although I am not a 'tin-can cook' there are occasions when I need one.Or I might google Kenwood Tin Opener and see if I can get one on-line.
Bought 2 from JML,supposedly hands free -did not work, numerous phone calls and emails no response eventually threw out and back to butterfly-physically challenging but worth the effort, also extremely cheap.Did possess an electric one in the past, very useful but prone to jamming.Good luck whichever you go with Starbuck-1 what a lovely sobriquet.
I've just typed 'electric can opener' into the search facility on the Amazon website, and then looked through the customer reviews. These two products seem to be competing for pride of place:

Thanks everyone. Do you know if the Kenwood one is wall mounted? I don't really want to put anything on the wall. As most of you know, I am not a lover of housework and do not want anything else gathering dust. If not I think I might try Kenwood first and if that does not succeed, I will try JML. Something has to work, and I will try anything (except wall mounted).
SB1:
The Kenwood website describes the 'CO606 Chrome Electric Can Opener' as a "full feature TABLE TOP can opener". It also provides a (small) picture which seems to support that description:

I got this one, the basic bog standard one from Argos, as I struggle using can openers with being left handed.

It's ok, it does the job, hard to get excited about can openers isn't it? LOL Why can't they make all cans ring pull by the way?

i have a great one made by tefal, very hardy, large plastic handles, its not electric, but this doesn't slip and opens everything no problem, have had it a while so don't remember where i bought it, but a good place to look is Lakelands, who do all manner of kitchen ware and handy goods, try online first, as they don't have that many shops.
Oxo good grips .
I bought this for my ma in law about ten years ago .She died getting on for three years ago and I inherited it backand it's still going strong . Brilliant as you can see from the reviews ..It just glides round the tin and is easy for fumble fingers like me ..
