Actually, TTFN, you've highlighted something rather interesting. I used to only drink spirits and liqueurs (Gin, Rum, Brandy, Malibu and Tia Maria) and could drink countless units without them touching me. When I went out with BJ in Hereford last night, I had a few "long drinks" to start the evening off. The result was that I had got a bit tipsy and anaesthetised my tastebuds before we got to the restaurant and had wine. I guess we all get used to certain somethings and when we try something different, we tend to feel the effects.
