Has anyone every roasted broccoli? I've Googled it and it seems it can be done and is apparently "amazing" but has anyone really done and was it really good? Or should i just play safe and steam it as normal?
might half it Pix and give it a whirl, if it goes pear shaped I'll steam the rest. So layer it on a baking tray, oil, salt, pepper an garlic and bobs your uncle? Does it go soggy or crispy?
Pop a few sprigs on a tray with some quartered peppers, a courgette sliced longways and a few whole mushrooms; add a drizzle of olive oil and you have a lovely colourful vegetable accompaniment.
I think it's great sprinkled with some crushed coriander seeds a drizzle of oil in an oven at around 180 ish, give it a squeeze of lemon when it come out. No need to cover.
Google Delia roasted broccoli and cauliflower for more info.
Par-boil it for 2-3 minutes. Drain, and toss in butter (or a less-fattening product). Arrange in an oven dish, add black pepper, and lemon juice. Cover with grated parmesan, and put in a medium oven for 15 minutes. Rather good!
