Plastic Chicken Supreme

For unknown reasons, I ADORE Birds Eye Chicken Supreme Meal with Rice, Boil in the bag.  Why is it now in a tray for the microwave???? It makes it taste plastic and the rice all rubbery.  Am I alone here? (Expect so)

No, I'm with you. I try to avoid the microwave where possible. I boil if in a bag, heat soup in a pan, and bake spuds in the oven. They have their uses, but some things just shouldn't go in there. If I get a ready meal in a double tray, I often chuck the rice and boil some basmati - a waste of money I know, but it only takes a few minutes, and most ready meals are anyway, if we're honest?

Marmaduke- I do not know, and don't even consider lecturing me on animal rights.  The reason I have to buy such crappy cheap food is because I chose a career path that would guarantee I never get rich, but would certainly make a difference to many people and animals.  It is easy to be oh-so politically correct when you can afford it.
