we arent having anything special -lean belly pork strips cooked in mushroom, pasata and wine with kidney beans thrown in later, served with rice with fried mushroom, onions and peppers and all mixed together.Desert is fresh cherries as the season is nearly over for them dont think there will be any next week washed down with a nice bottle of wine and if the weather holds eaten al fresco.How about you ?

Our nothing special is cheese and beans on toast!
Fridge contents tonight, I think.

That will be onions and any veg. with some chicken and Polish Wieska sausage, all stir fried with some tom yum paste & chillies, dished over noodles.
... and a bottle of a chewy red wine!

Just seen a review of the book "A year in the village of eternity" about a place in Italy where the average lifespan is nearly 20 years more than the UK.

Absoltely nothing cooking...........I'm having a fish curry with naan breads delivered about 9pm.
No idea yet, there is an assortment of stuff available in the fridge, we'll choose later.
Looks like fish and chips tonight, only because I'm not too good atm and not up to cooking!

Pork belly here also. Pan fried first in coconut oil,then done in the slow cooker with chillies, garlic, lemon grass, light soy, maybe some Thai basil, and shallots. Berries and cream for after.

and a Castillo de Monesma, a Crianza equiv of a Bordeaux,to slide down and counter the hangover from last night - Lie-in King et al had to intervene on the DT Crossword today as the brain has definitely been in 3rd gear all day. GK one finished though.....
Home made steak pie with sweetcorn followed by ice cream and white wine.

only bacon and cheese with an oatcake woolysheep lol....
Chicken wrapped in bacon with salad and baby new potates fried in garlic butter followed by some banana bread that I currently have baking in the oven. Washed down with cider and white wine :o)

pastafreak yours sounds better than mine but I cant take garlic ties my tummy into knots and spasms for hours on end.
Maidup its best when Mr S cooks he is Goan/Portuguese and his curries are out of this world ,if he isnt well enough to cook and people are coming over for dinner you can see the look of disappointment on their faces !when we lived long time in Dubai we always had egg &chips once a week to remind ourselves of reality !
