I have a friend who will be beginning ramadan today, and i went to text and wish her well....then i thought what do i say?

Have a nice ramadan? Good luck? Lol....they dont seem right?

Is there a particular greeting x

Just say,have an enjoyable Ramadan. I'm sure your friend has wished you a Merry Christmas! And you took no offence.

Hi tinkerbell, I dont think there is an official greeting (in this country), from Brits I mean, perhaps you could ask your friend, at a later date,I'm sure ,if she is your friend, wouldn't mind. After all, learning about about different cultures is a good thing,isn't it?

I lived in Dubai for 14 years but cant remember if we said anything, I loved the shops opening 8pm and staying open until 2am, you could go to the hairdressers at 1am ! I remember when Eid [ the holiday that follows Ramadan]arrives you wish everyone Eid Mubarak and you can buy Eid cards easily in the UK now.
