Why when there is other delicious, tasty, healthy alternatives in the same vicinity such as in shopping centres, do people insist on queueing for the usual rubbish? People are so stuck in their ways and won't try anything different.

it is delicious!
I love salad...
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but the tone of this post is less about the healthy content of the food in question, than simply 'foody' snobbery.

To infer that people are 'stuck in their ways' because they like chain-takeaway food is to infer that people are too stupid to explore other alternatives, which is a rather high-handed attitude to take.

People eat what they eat because they like it - and in the case of MacDonald's - there is an agreed standard and price that means you get the same food for the same price nationally. For a seriously large number of people that fits the bill.

If you prefer more divergent and healtier alternatives, that's fine, but food snobbery is not an attractive character trait.
I love Charlie's and Supermacs!
are biccies fast food, if so i can recommend fox's ginger crunch creams mmmmmmmmmm
What Andy said :)
Food snobbery.....on answerbank!! I don't believe you Andy...lol
Indeed ummmmm - I'm having trouble believing myself!
I think salad is delicious, wedged between my burger and two burger buns.
to ensure the food is seen as 'tasty' the smell of subway always puts me off like yesterdays spag boll... I usually prefer pret a manger or a panini from costa (packet) coffee and maybe some chhesecake or a a cupcake as a real treat
What i don't understand is someone going to mcDonalds, getting a large meal then ordering a diet coke...
-- answer removed --
i've done that suez, but only cos i don;t like the taste of full fat coke
I don't like full fat fizzy drinks, they taste too syrupy for me and leave a funny after taste so if I have a fizzy drink, I always have the diet version. Nothing to do with calories, just preference.
But how many calories would you save by not going large on the meal. Didn't realise there were that many calories in a coke!
Sue....I think there is about 8 spoons of sugar in a can of coke.
Aw lovely sugary goodness ;)
Gotta have my regular McD.....for the pickles
MacDonalds and KFC are dreadful............give me a large kebab any day.
with extra chilli sauce?
