I have used a slow cooker for many many years (iam on my 5th one i wear them up!). These have always been large family size cookers but i am wanting to buy a smaller one, maybe 3L?, for smaller quantities - does anyone know where there is a good buy/bargain at the moment? Thanx so much.

The last one we got was from Tesco, cost about £15 and is just the right size for the two of us, can't remember the capacity but I would guess it's about the 2-3 litres you want
There are two inexpensive ones recommended by Which? - Lakeland £20 but this is rather small, about 1 litre. The other is Argos Cookworks - the one at about £20, NOT the Argos Value one. The Argos one has a 4 litre capacity. The other Best Buys are a lot pricier.
I am quite worried by my new slow cooker. I have had several round ones in the past, but the only ones I see nowadays are oval. These definitely get too hot, even on the lower of the two settings, and I have had food burn when using exactly the same recipe and timing as I used to do with my old Kenco.
I'd do some careful reearch if I were you, and keep away from the oval ones.
I have 2...an oval 3.5 ltr Morphy Richards that I've never had any problems with. I also have a tiny 1.5 litre round Hinari..that one gets quite hot even on low. But it certainly cooks faster.
Hello,
Like Pasta freak I have a Morphy Richards oval 3.5 ltr. I have had no problems with it
