After years and years of trying and numerous cook books and kitchen gadgets including two bread makers and one donut maker(???) I have finally accepted that I just cannot cook. Its not that I am even a bad cook I just cannot do it
Please dont advise me to buy this or that because I am quite happy with this acceptance.
My motto is now 'why bother cooking when Dominos deliver'

Thats a shame Ric.ror. I love cooking but don't get much time to experiment these days.
arhh Can't Cook, Wont Cook

good motto by the way :-)
I am not a good cook either
I'm waiting for the first "Do Dominos deliver?" gag...
Awww, that's rather sad Ric.ror,
I've just been looking at a 'crispy stem ginger cookies' recipe while on and off here. Batch of scones just out of the oven too! Why do you feel you can't cook?
if it goes in a microwave i can cook it :)
Perhaps the dishes you were trying to create were beyond your prowess.

Try starting off gently with boiled eggs and build up from there.
...because food is SO much more than delivered pizza (which we have NEVER had, incidently!)
fair doos, can i recommend out local kebab house they also deliver and do damn fine kebabs (proper ones not elephant leg)

Oh I am a bit choosy when it comes to take out - I never get a pizza from a take away that does anything else (keebabs or Burgers etc)
Same with a curry too

Gingejbee - You have never had Dominos?
Give it a go its lovely
Pappa John's has just started doing a cheese stuffed crust. Just so you know all is not lost.
ric.ror - whatever floats your boat - it's just nice to hear someone is content with their lot! good for you

Oh I dont like stuffed crust
I like thin based
I hope there is a Dominos in Paris when I go for my hols in Sept
I have made plans to go to Laudree when we get to Versallies
im not a bad cook but I dislike it intensely, I only view cooking as a means to satisfy hunger. I wish I could be interested but I really am not

Thanks RSVP
Ric.ror - I have problems reheating things successfully so, as you can imagine, I don't/can't cook.

I have a short attention span and have been known to wander off when reheating something on the hob - I have set fire to a pot or two and a couple of toasters.

Toast and primula cheese for lunch !

I think part of it is the washing up bit too
Im not the most perfect of housewives as it is (even my mother says its no wonder my husband left me)
But yesterday in the kitchen I was whipping up some yorkshire puddings and the flour was all over me and then the whisk sent the batter all over the room too - and aunt Bessie is so much more capable than me
I can cook but don't enjoy it............I do enjoy baking.
my bird hates cooking, but strangely she´s a really good cook.
Have you actually tried a slow cooker - you really cannot fail if you use a jar of ready made sauce, and fresh meat, put it in the cooker, switch it on, and turn if off a few hours later.
