Chablis is made from Chardonnay grapes grown in North Burgundy. At the basic end Chablis is made in steel tanks, at the top end some producers age their wine for a short time in oak barrels.
Is it a good wine? It depends on the producer. Personally I think it is generally pretty ordinary and overpriced
