I had a lovely strawberry milk shake in Sainsbury's cafe today. I watched it being made. Lots of ice cubes were put in the jug, fresh strawberries added, milk added and then it was blended. Does anyone know of a domestic machine which will do this? I have looked on the Internet but can't find one that will crush ice cubes as part of the milk-shake making process.

My Siemens shake blender/liquidiser certainly is.
Power is the key.

I've already looked on Amazon vodkancoke. I though the Philips blender was about the price I would like to pay but one of the reviewers says it can't cope with ice cubes.

welshlibranr - can it take lots of ice cubes? The girl who made mine at Sainsburys must have used at least 12 large ones.
Ah sorry felly. I have a Kenwood blender which attaches to my Kenwood mixer and it copes fine with ice-cubes. I make smoothies and milkshakes with it.

Felly try freezing, or frozen fruit to get the chill. My hand blender works no problem for this.
