Wash it down with a good few pegs of ale and have plenty of wenches on hand.
They wouldnt have had lollo rosso lettuce or mange tout flown in from Kenya, so a few hearty roast root vegetables (potatoes, parsnips etc and roast carrots are lovely) (yes, I know they didnt have potatoes until the 17th (?) century, but thats not the point).
Mead is probably a bit of an aquired taste, besides, you will not have enough time to ferment your honey, so if its a particularly chilly April evening, something along the lines of mulled wine may go down well.- in fact treat it a bit like a Bonfire Night party - with hearty fare for a (probably) chilly evening.
Cant really help you with games, but following on from acws suggestion, you could try Run Away From The Welsh, or one of the great Crusader games such as Raze Constantinople.
