Do two joints parallel to each other........another one that is delicious and very easy to prepare is Jamie's http://www.jamieolive...one-in-shoulder-roast
Just remember to cover the meet with some wax paper or alu foil with a tea towel for 15 to 20 mins when you pull it out of the oven so the meat rests and the juices go back through the meat with the initial cooling.

When I had this many for Sun Lunch (only once mind) I did a Sunday dinner with all the trimmings, and then laid it all out 'buffet style' and put plates, cutlery out for people to help themselves to as much or as little as they liked. It went down a treat, as I get complaints that I pile too much food on to plates, plus others who get veg that don't like it etc. Plus, I could only fit 9 at best round my table, so people just piled up their plates - some sat at the table among the food and others gathered in the living room. Once everyone had ate their lunch, I cleared the table and filled it up with cake/cheesecake & cheese & bics.
I have got my shoulder of lamb in the oven as we speak. Its a Nigella recipe, where you cook it long and low so the meat falls into soft shreds, You then dot it with pomegranate seeds and mint. I am doing meditteranean cous cous and houmous with it aswell. Inlaws coming tomorrow so I am making a Viennese chocolate cake, which contains no flour but is gorgeous ! Hope your big lunch goes well.
