Jacket Potatoes

Anyone suggest what to have with jacket potatoes to make a good meal? Ta Muchly.

What do I put with jacket potatoes?

Sometimes just cheese (perhaps with a salad). Otherwise curry goes well with a jacket potato (particularly a Green Thai curry), as does chilli con carne.

Alternatively a few rashers of smoked back bacon and some baked beans makes a nice meal.

I love chilli con carne and grated cheddar (with a sprinkling of Tabasco). Cubed feta cheese and sauteed spinach is good too.

When it's nearly ready, take out a spoonful, drop in an egg, cover with grated cheese and put it back in the oven for another three minutes

just fed OH with microwaved jacket potato with beans and cheese, but pretty much anything goes. Prawns and mayo, cottage cheese, chilli. To make a good meal just use it as the side with your main thing.

I love a jacket potato with a roasted chicken fillet and coleslaw and pickled onions!.........mmmmm!

Don`t forget the traditional butter, cheese, onion and Lee & Perrins.

Chilli con carne, chicken curry, or just baked savoury beans are lovely on top of a jacket potato :0)

I'm a bit peckish now..........fridge raid imminent methinks :0)

Sounds a bit gross and fat laden but I love it with cheese, butter and mayo.

Loads of things go with baked spuds, including meat, veg, & gravy. Tuna mayo is not uncommon though.

when almost cooked scoop out the potato from skin...mash with butter and stir in chopped chorizo, and soft fried onions put back into skins top with grated cheese and bake for an extra to mins

chopped liver and bacon is good too

Jacket potato with a juicy sirloin steak cooked in garlic butter, pour juices from pan over j p with a lovely crisp green salad, mmmm!!.
