Yeah i thot that- then cook... Xx merci!!!!
Yes, you can fry it over a low heat, stirring it constantly and it will be fine. Often done that when I have forgotten to take it out of the freezer in time.
I know you are supposed to be careful with some meats and the instructions usually say whether you can cook from frozen or need to defrost tho24 hours. I know when we defrosted a frozen beefburger in the microwave (instead of defrosting for 12 hours) before sticking it straight under a hot grill one of us got food poisoning.
For "tho24" read "thoroughly for 24"
I wish I could get my keyboard to work on AB
How do you know it was the defrosting in the microwave that caused the food poisoning?
We felt that may be the reason because there were two of us eating. I had one that had already been defrosted properly, my son had the one that was defrosted in a microwave. Of course it could have been anything but the doctor said the timing was consistent with the burger meal, but of course there could have been something in the burger (or in the air) that would have caused it however we'd cooked it.
I'm just a bit more careful now, although I rarely wait 12 or 24 hours for defrosting. I find that if I put the meat in a bag in a bowl of cold water it defrosts in a couple of hours) and then I make sure it's well cooked.
