I have a friend that is into exotic cooking since going to college after 5 kids and really wants to make it in the culinary world. and so i've became her guinea pig whenever she comes up with a new dish which is several times a week.
I've had many things from fried chilli locusts to various stews involving small mammals.
She now wants to cook hedgehog and im not sure i can do this as i've always associated hedgehogs as verminous creatures and because of this have reservations on eating it but as she's my friend i feel i have to.
How palateable is hedgehog and what would you say it tasted of?

No osprey tastes of fish....you are thinking of hen harrier which tastes nothing like hens
So do marsh harriers taste of marshmallows then?

And what on earth do shags taste of?
Salty.
Taste of things to come!
Fish...

How about Cattle egret...tastes like steak?

Stork....tastes nothing like butter

That is horrible Trigs...

Roast Haunch of baby deer (bambi)
spit roast piglet (babe)
with a side salad
I can think of a few things more exotic than a sqaushed hedgehog scraped off the A41.
theres a lot of badgers a roadside at mo, lots more meat on them than a scrawny hedgehog

Yeah, you get a better class of road kill off the A605......
if you steam then you can peel the skin and prickles right off, bit like a banana, they taste a bit like cat
The prickles would be good for toothpicks..

I think a wild blackberry crumble for dessert... to keep the natural theme going...

If you know what cat tastes like...murph better be careful... there may come a time when you can't be ar5ed to go to the butchers
