You really give us NOTHING to go on!

What's your budget, exactly? How many people? Are there any special dietary requirements? How many courses? Wine?
go to supermarket a couple of hours before closing,everything is reduced by about 65%.all meat,veg,puds.etc
dont buy way more than you need ie) thousands of nibbles and snacks

buy a turkey crown instead of a turkey

I give nothing to go on because I want idea's from a personal perspective, you may have £50 you may have less, what would YOU do on a budget.....

But, since the OP is looking for ideas, how about an economy size carton of hummus and some fresh celery...?
Well i'm having lobster, then roast rib of beef so not having a pudding oh and i only got one case of champagne and not inviting guests

No, sorry not for me personally, but I dare say that there are many people who do not have large amounts of disposable income to throw away on a Christmas dinner.....
invite lots of people over, tell them what to bring, sit back and spend nothing.
One year we were so poor I bought 4 pigs trotters and we had those. The funny thing is after 25 years it is the one Xmas my daughter remembers and says it was the best.

i would see what i got reduced at the supermarket on xmas eve then decide
I don't have a budget for Christmas dinner so, unless you can tell me what yours is, it's difficult to make any sensible suggestions...

Ok hypothetically speaking you have a budget of £30 that would need to feed three adults.....
Crisp-buttie (roast chicken flavour) and a glass of vimto - Very Low Budget.

Truffle-stuffed ocelot with panda-flavoured gravy and a bottle of water from the Fountain of Youth at Shangri-la - Very Big Budget.

I usually pitch it somewhere in the middle, though, if I'm honest....

Wouldn't roast turkey be more appropriate Jack?
I'm not overly keen on Turkey.

We are having Rib-eye steaks, this year........but recent Christmases have seen us eat Kangaroo, Ostrich and Crocodile....
Jack cant eat turkey it gives her awful wind
