Fizzy Milk.

Has any one tried getting a soda stream and making fizzy milk, would it work and what would it be like? Also can you carbonate hot drinks, like coffe for instance?

My dad used to make cream soda milkshakes by mixing carbonated cream soda with milk - I like both ingredients but the combination is horrible!

When I was a nipper (about 10), a group of us setup a business venture selling a combination of cherryade and milk (1 part cherryade, 2 parts milk I think). 10p a glass. Can't remember if we made a profit, but lots of people bought it. It was nice at the time, but I think my pallate my have grown out of it now.

Ok, I admit it...I did as a child fall for the lure of putting milk in a Sodastream and trying to gas it.

OOOuups!!! Lots of milk everywhere - not so much 'fizzy milk' more a tidal wave! It wouldn't take the gas at all - after just once press of the gas button it just forced the entire contents of the bottle (milk) everywhere. It also made us all jump as the pressure must have been so great that it forced the handle on the side to flick back at around...ur...200mph!!!

The things you do as a child. I also remember opening my mum's pressure cooker lid under FULL pressure - now that does make you jump.

Why is there nothing in life,as an adult, as satisfying as melting/setting fire to things with a magnifying glass using the sun - how cool was (is?) that!!!

like ronianna i too tried fizzy milk and the answer is no you can't fizz it ,don't know why but the milk just goes everywhere ,i suppose you could make some soda water then add that to the milk to make a sort of milk shandy! i wouldn't even attempt at trying it with hot drinks as you could end up seriously scalding yourself
