Go on, hit me with it... What are you having this festive Sunday?
We are having Beef Wellington, braised red cabbage, balsamic roasted carrots, sprouts a la Gordon Ramsey (shredded and sauteed with.pancetta and grated chestnuts and finished off with cream), minted peas, roasties and gravy.
Tonight I will be serving stilton, cave aged gruyere, somerset brie, cornish goats cheese, mountain comte, Albacete manchego and Ossau-Iraty with bread and biscuits.
We have Duval Leroy fizz and Raven's Wood Californian Zinfandel to accompany.

em10 don't throw out the broccoli use it to make veg soup , any veg that has gone a bit past its best is fine in soup. I use any veg at all in a base of leak and potato, don't even peal the spuds just wash them and then dice.
I will be making a big pot of soup for boxing day with veg and some of the turkey juice and leftovers.

Leek and potato soup followed by turkey and all the trimmings...I'm going all out this year and am even doing the brussels with bacon!!!!! Get me!
I cooked the turkey yesterday and will carve it into gravy to heat it....veg is all done bar the potatoes.....
Just about to dress the house in candles before the kids get up....have a lovely day everyone.

Salmon Mousse, Roast Duck with stuffing, maderia infused jus, roast paprika potatoes, carrots with beetroot and cherry toms in a basalmic dressing, and brussels, cheeses, Xmas pudding, Pavlova.
washed down with a Zephyr NZ Sauv Blanc, Marqués de Vargas Riserva 1998, and a Royal Tokaji.
Homemade Mince Pies and Xmas cake courtesy of one of my sisters, who is a great baker.
Later, for supper, remnants of the Duck (if any) Salmon, Cheeses (Stilton, Chevre Cendre, Brie, Montogomery, Cornish Blue and a Boursin Pepper), Artisan Bread, Piggies in their Blankets - Odfjell Organic Malbec (Chilean)
