tin chopped tomatoes
large onion chopped
1lb mince browned
2 green chillies finely chopped
2 spoons chilli powder
tin kidney beans

add everything to the browned mince and simmer for 20 mins in a pot
you can add kushrooms or green peppers for a change serve with some creme fresh on top and boiled rice or with tortilla wraps.
being sober is always a good start for me! I'll never attempt to make one again whilst a bit P!ssed, the mess in the morning...

However not to make light of your Q, I always find some sort of garlic frozen Garlic bread in the freezer... but that's so like me ;-)
Boring and traditional is all I do I'm afraid,
Onion, garlic, paprika, cumin, chilli, green pepper, salt & pepper, minced beef. Red kidney beans Tomatoes, beef stock, tomato purée and finally the secret ingredient, a little square of dark chocolate at the end. It works wonders. I serve it with plain old boring boiled rice.
A VERY simple recipe (for one person):

Heat a very small amount of vegetable oil in a frying pan
Add 100g of 'value' mince and brown.
Add 50g (or a bit more) of tomato purée and stir.
Throw in chilli powder, in accordance with personal taste.
Throw in a splash of boiling water from the kettle.
Add a 'value' beef stock cube.
Simmer and stir occasionally while cooking 80g of boiled 'value' rice.
Serve.

That provides a tasty meal for about 55p.
OK, you can add kidney beans and/or some red and green peppers but it's surprisingly good just as it comes (or, of course, with grated cheese on top).

I've been experimenting with cheap chilli recipes for years. The 'magic ingredient' that I've discovered is nothing more than a 2p beef stock cube, which really transforms the flavour!

Teddy i LOVE it in wraps with cheeeese mmm!!

Ooooh i like the traditional one it sounds LOVELY as does yours chris!!

Ive seen it on tv made with what id call "stew" rather than mince? Wonder what thats like x
In wraps with raw onion and a sour creme dressing or creme fresh and a bottle of tabasco to add the edge.
should try reggae reggae sauce, better than Tabasco...

I have most of the above ingredients (might chose tomorrow) all sound nice, except no mince... but have stewing (fresh but frozen) steak... any adds to that.

Hahahahahahah

Sooo simple- chicken on bone....

Score...rub in few teaspoons of jerk and leave for a while in fridge hour or two....

Brown off/seal chicken in little oil in a pan then smother in bottle or two of jerl sauce i use two cos i like loads to mop up later lol! Make sure its all coated!!

Oven 180-200degrees for 45mins turning frequently so it gets all sticky mmmmmm

Ensuring chicken is done cos on bone takes longer! I keep scraping all the sticky sauce off the oven dish its so good! Big slice of buttery bread to mop up lol xx
