Just watching the Fabulous Baker Brothers and one of them made a chocolate cake and chucked some salt in. Why would you add salt to a chocolate cake? Thanks

It brings out the flavour. Most cake and biscuit recipes require a pinch of salt. Plus salt and chocolate go well together....think of chocolate pretzels....yum!
Yes - there is salt in some chocolate - chocolate with sea salt is lovely.
There are chocolate bars that have salt crystals included, supposed to enhance the taste.
as above.

also try chilli in it - yum in a fondant.

I actually prefer minimal salt, except on fries (and pretzels) and if you are in a very hot climate where extar salt intake is needed, most food to me has enough salt in it......fresh ground pepper, yes please
Don't know about salt but I add just a touch of coffee to a chocolate cake, and it really enhances the flaovour of the chocolate - no coffee taste either

Why would anyone put salt onto, or into, food? Because it is a flavour enhancer. It can also remove certain bitternesses from foods. Try it out by adding a teensy pinch of salt to a cup of instant coffee.
I have eaten half a dozen chilli chocolate truffles today
And one of the nicest things I ever had was hand made salted crisps dipped in choc
