No meal as such today, as we have quite a few relatives coming around at 4ish. I will simply bake a cake. I may snack on walnut bread and warmed goats cheese late

We had roast lamb dinner last night so don't fancy anything big today.

How about you?

No idea yet NoM, a number of things in the fridge - there's only me today, so I'll have what's easiest, later on.
Roast beef, roast potatoes, honey roasted carrots, califlower cheese, peas and yorkies :-)

There's little point cooking for one, Boxy.

Sounds lovely, Ummmm. I haven't had yorkies in years.

Sounds delish, RH.

I always have room for curry, pdust.
me too usually, its real mccoy too, none of this jar of sauce type ones
Roast pork for me today and I hope mine gets some crackling!!
Sometimes it works for me and sometimes it doesn't.
do you dry it off well and score it and salt it funnygirl?
Dads cooking up a roast lamb today. Cant wait! One of the best bits about it is he puts the skin on a plate when its cooked for pre dinner pickings. Yum!
I don't really like yorkies....but everyone else loves them.
funnygirl - smearing on rind/fat lots of olive oil and salt and the oven turned up high makes super crackling. I usually take the fat off when I carve the meat, put that back in the oven and turn the temperature up a lot! Scared stiff that we will break our teeth though - teeth costalotta cash these days!
A roast isnt complete without yorkshire puds.
My mum has just called me to go round there and have roast lamb but I made beef stew in my new slow cooker overnight. Sometimes I hate being spoilt for choice!!! ;o)
roast pork etc mmm
I've scored it and salted it till the cows come home.
chicken sandwich, greek yoghurt and an apple, I may have a stirfry later
I'm just about to cook a gammon joint in non alcoholic cheap Morrisons ginger beer like I did at Christmas - it was a new way of cooking it for me and was absolutely delicious!

Ann, we went out to dinner on my birthday. The relatives are coming en masse today to pay their congratulations in person, so I thought I would bake.

Am I the only person who doesn't like crackling?
