I think you wanted UK measures... here's one similarto what we use here in the U.S.:
Ingredients
Serves: 3
1¾ cups (210g) plain flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar (We use double simply to help them brown)
½ teaspoon salt
3 eggs
250g butter, melted
1½ cups (375ml) milk (Buttermilk works best. If you don't have any simply use 1 tabelspoon on white vinegar to a cup of regular milk... let it sit for about 10 minutes before using the amount you need.)
1 tablespoon vanilla (real stuff works best but you can use extract)
I'd suggest doubling the recipe...
Preparation:
Prep: 10 minutes | Cook: 15 minutes
1.Pre-heat the waffle iron. Spray with no-stick oil or wipe with a clean cloth with some vegetable oil on it.
2.Whisk the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a large bowl.
3.Separate the egg whites from the yolks beat them in a small bowl.
4.Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the beaten egg whites, yolks, butter and milk. Whisk all the ingredients together but don't overbeat them Mixture should be somewhat lumpy.
5.Pour the batter on the iron, covering about 70% of the grid. Cook the waffle, till steam issues from the iron (about 2 minutes...really depending on your iron) and the waffle is golden
6.Keep the cooked waffles fresh by placing them on a tray (do not stack them) in a warm oven
