Yesterday I "made" some mini sauasges, they were very tasty, even though they were only about 3/4 of an inch long !

I de-skinned some thawed out frozen sausages, pulled them apart and rolled them into mini sausage shapes.

They fry up just the same as a larger sausage, a lot quicker though.

All that they needed then was a dollop of mash and a half teaspoon of gravy.

Lovely !

Just out of interest why are you doing this? Are you planning a really fancy doll's tea party?
''I de-skinned some thawed out frozen sausages, pulled them apart and rolled them into mini sausage shapes. ''

Were you bored?
Yeah, what's the point?
Maybe the 'little people' at the end of the garden are hungry?
But were they more lovely than non pulled apart thawed out sausages?

That's the question...

Yes, it sounds a bit strange, but it is perfectly logical.

I have my four year old daughter down for a couple of days over easter.

She loves food but is not a big eater, eyes bigger than her belly etc.

I' m gonna make a load of small meals so we can pick and choose what we want and still have a meal but not get too full up.
i like a mini sausage

and i like mini food...just lots of it :-)
I do this with Italian sausage to make meatballs and tomato sauce for pasta.
mini food is fun....like being a giant .....
You could just buy cocktail sausages... and spend the time saved cutting 2 inch squares out of the middle out of slices of bread to make... er... mini sliced bread.
lol
Snags, don't be so wasteful....you go and buy Hovis rolls, the ones that look like little loaves and slice those!
I like the lobster idea in the other thread using shell on prawns.
I'm sure the options are endless...

I'm gonna try a mini version of the Maccy D's "big tasty" later.
you sure you don't need a tester?
I think it's a lovely idea to encourage a fussy little girl to eat & I agree, cocktail sausages, for some reason taste awful.

I'd love to see how you could pull a big tasty off though!
and don't forget mini cheesecakes, and mini victoria sponges
micro trifles (chop fruit cocktail really finely to go in the jelly/sponge)
Tiny cheese on toast using slices of those hovis loaf mini rolls, tiny pizzas...
